What up everybody, I hope your weekend has been going well. Man I had a busy, yet a great day yesterday. I woke up early and went to park the Purdue game. After that I took Max to school and then I rode with the soccer team up to the State championship volleyball game. Mr. Johns got lost on the way to the volleyball game which made us late. We drove through the ghetto of Indianapolis. NO joke. But that is a different story for a different time. We eventually got to the game about half way through. After the volleyball game I went to go watch the soccer game. It was a good game. Then after the games we partied. On the bus and afterwords at the Brand's house.

Man, it really exciting to know that we are state champs. YEAH!!! Not a bad days work: 2 state championships. Congrats to the boys and the girls on a job well done this year. It's funny because after celebrating with the teams and watching the games; it reminds of basketball and I am stoked for it to start. I hope the girls and guys basketball teams can bring 2 more state championships home when March comes around. Anyway, another good weekend in the books. A cool passage of Scripture that my youth group looked at today was I Corinthians 3:10-16. Have a great rest of the week everybody. Peace and God Bless!

Well, hello to all my friends that now havejustly stoped reading my blog. I think it has been like 50 years since i last blogged, but I have been busy. So much has happened since the last time i blogged. I don't know if anyone is reading this post so I won't talk about much. Any one who still reads, could you post to let me know. I wonder if i should still do this.

Before I go, I will talk about my year so far. I have really enjoyed my Senior year so far this year. I am so glad to be with my friends for one more year. I sure hope to grow in my relationships with them as the year continues. I can't tell you how excited I am about basketball. I am really excited. God is good. Even when hard times come along. My Girl's Birthday

What up everybody, I hope your summer is going well. We only have 1 more week of summer left. It's amazing to think about. My senior year is a week away. I don't know really what to think of that. I want to give a shout out to my wonderful girlfriend. Her birthday was yesterday. I really hope she had a good day. I am very lucky to have her as my girlfriend. My trip to Chi-town

What up everybody? I just got back from my summer vacation with my family. I was so happy that it finally came. I went to Chicago. I like going to Chicago. I went for a week last year. This year we went to a Chicago White Sox baseball game. They played the Minnisota Twins. It was really fun. My mom wanted to go to the car at the start of the 9th inning b/c she was tired of baseball, but she stayed for the rest of the game though. It stunk b/c the Twins won 7-4. 10 of the 11 runs were do in part to home runs; so we saw some home runs. The next day we went to the Museum of Science and Industry. It was pretty cool. We saw a whole place dedicated to Leanardo Da Vinci. That was very interesting, especially lately b/c of the Da Vinci Code movie. In some of the exibits, you could see the great creation that God has made. It was very educational.

Jenni is on her family vacation to Colorado. She is going to be gone the entire week. That stinks, but I hope she is having a fun time. Peace and God bless!

Hey ya'll, I went to see Pirates of the Carribean 2 just recently and I thought that it was pretty good. I think it wasn't as funny but it had a whole lot more action in it compared to the first one. I liked it. I went with the Joey, Chris, Aaron, Jenni, Ashley, and Emily. It was a fun night. The movies that I want to see that I haven't are Superman Returns, X3, and Mission Impossible 3. I am ready for the final movie in the Pirates of the Carribean series. Oh, guess what? This is for all the Lost fans. I just found out some interesting facts about the show. The producer said that he wants to make 5 seasons of the show and then after that make a Lost movie. What do you think of that?

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July everyone. Today is a day to think back to our history and to give thanks to our Lord for are freedom. Even today, soldiers of our country are overseas fighting to keep our freedom. It is sad to say, but most americans, even myself sometimes, take our freedom for granted. We don't think of all the sacrifices that were made and that are still being made for our country. We should continue to pray for our soldiers who are fighting. Don't forget to remember the sacrifices and to thank God for our freedom.

As for my plans for the day. I got the day off of work. I am planning to go see some fireworks tonight. I hope that you all have a great day today. Peace and God bless!

Weekend Update

what up ya'll. Man, summer seems to fly. Is it close enough to start counting down the days to school? Maybe not, but it will be here before we know it. I had a good weekend. I went bowling and out to dinner on Sunday. I got to hang out with Joey, Justin, and Jenni for a few hours. They got me big time on a joke. Let me just say, I am not smart when it comes to stuff like that. I am oblivious that someone is doing a joke on me. Oh well, everybody got a laugh out of it. I just got back from open gym at the school. It was a lot of fun. Have a good rest of the week. Peace.

hey everybody, I guess that my last post has aroused some questions. I could have some fun with this post. I could leave you all hanging or I could just tell you. hmm... But first I will talk about my week.

It was a pretty good week overall. I had to work, and I work alot. Friday night was a good night. I went to Culver's and then came back to my house to try to teach the game of euchre. It took me a whole week to get the basic principles of the game. She is getting it a lot quicker than I did. I just got done playing in a basketball tournament. We won all of the games except one. I think it was the best tournament that we ever played. It was really fun. But who cares about all this, you all want to know what the big news is.

I did do something that no one would ever thought I would do. The big news is..................................................................................

I got a girlfriend. SAY WHAT!!! That's right, I do. She is a very sweet girl. I am lucky. Well, now you all know. Peace and have a great week.

It's been a long time

Hey everybody, I am sorry that it has been forever since i have posted. I will try to do it weekly. I have been so busy. I have a full time job. I play basketball in a summer league. And i have to try to find a way to hang out with friends when I get the chance. A lot of stuff has happened so far this summer. I have done something that none would ever thought I'd do. Don't worry, it is a good thing. I just got back from Michigan. I went to visit some old friends as well as grandparents. It was fun. Now I have to go back to work this week. I hope everyone has had a good summer so far. I will try to find time to post weekly so I can keep in some sort of touch with all of you. Summer is just around the corner

What up! I am sorry I haven't posted in awhile. Ladies and gentlemen, summer is so close. Like everyone else is saying. It is a joyous but somewhat sad occasion. All my senior friends are heading off to big collage. I will miss you all. May the Lord bless you as you seniors head off to collage and finding your callings for you lives. I have some goodbyes to say tommorrow. I hate goodbyes. Some kids in my class are also leaving as well.

Finals are over!!! I am happy. I am glad that I got through it. How did the class party go? I went shopping with my mother and got some new dress shoes.

Did anybody see the 2 hour season finale of Lost. Oh man, I have a lot of questions. It left more questions than answers. We know the button was real. Is Eko or Desmond alive? What was that bright light that seemed to cover the island? Was there anything in the hatch as it exploded and landed on the island? Is Michael and Walt leaving the others behind? The 'other' said that they wouldn't be able to come back. So many questions and those were just a few cliff hangers. Now I have to go all summer and wait till the season opener. Until then, I might ask for Lost season 2 on dvd for my birthday. Then I can watch it all over again and maybe get some clues.

What an experience

I don't know where to start when it comes to the experience of this year's Jr./Sr. Many people said that the past Jr./Sr's. have been really boring. I just absolutely had an unforgettable time on Friday. Everything was great. If I could tell you of everything that happened, I think my blog would be 20 pages long. So, I will try to be brief. Of course, many of you knew about the limo ride. That was fun. I would like to give a shout-out to Andy. Big ups and gracias. It was by far, the most fanciest ride I have ever rode in too an event in before. The program flowed very well. It was not boring by any stretch of the imagination. The food was really good. The fellowhip during the meal and just all around was great. The afterparty at Ashley's was fun. Even though, I made a fool of myself at the Karaoke. I got 'served' in the dance machine by Andy and Jenni. Like some others, I found myself after everything was over, kind of sad it was over.

Jenni, I had a great time. I hope you did as well. It will be a night that I will never forget. So, all of you that did not go. You have something to look forward to. May everyone be blessed in the last 2 weeks of school. It will be exciting, but for others, the summer comes and sometimes, friends lose touch. I hope that doesn't happens. I think it is cool that Christians can have fun. Remember, God is good, all the time.

It's over

I am glad SAT's are over. I probably failed. I hope not. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, yet I am not totally sure on how I did. That siren that went off in the middle of the test was hilarious. I thought that our test were going to burn. Ok, I knew it wasn't that bad. I wanted it to happen though. Now, we have another week of testing. How fun.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have only 3 weeks of school left until school is out. We can finish strong. We have the big event everyone talks about this Friday. Then, we have dead week. Finally, we have finals. That's all. Have a great week this week. One love.

SAT's tommorrow

What's up, I am glad the week is over and then I am not. It is all because of SAT's. Yep, tommorrow is the big day. 4 hrs. of straight testing to see if I can go to collage. I am a little worried, especially about the math section. I would like to take the attitude of A-Mac, or some of the others who are just going to do their best and not worry about it. It shall be interesting. We all need to just pray, trust God, and do our best. That is what I am going on. He has a plan.

After the test, it should be a fun last 2-3 weeks of school. We got Jr./Sr. next Friday. Then we got finals. Then, we have no school for two and a half months. I might see Mission Impossible 3 after the test. I don't know if it will be worth watching though. Well, good luck to all the juniors who take the SAT's tommorrow. One Love.

Late nights

Hey everyone, this past week Max W., who now has a blog, has stayed at my house for a few days because his partents are out of town. We have stayed up very late all three nights he has been here. Right now, it is almos midnight and I still have to get ready for bed. We just got done watching Hitch. There are a couple scenes in that movie that are hilarious. The dancing scene and the shock and awe scene are my favorites. I am glad to see that people hate my music video(jenni) lol.

Hey everybody, I want to give a shout out to all of you. Another rookie has been influenced by the "nation of blogs." Andy got my name out there and helped me out. The Spanish play went great. The kids loved the lightsaber fight scene. I think it was the best. I had so much fun being dead. I died twice in the play. Not that many people can do that. Happy Easter everyone. Happy resurrection. He is risen!!!!!! Today is truly a joyful day. We have great reasons to celebrate. I hope everybody had a great day today. This past weekend has been a great time to think about the greatest sacrifice that occurred. It doesn't just end there, Christ is alive!!!

These thunderstorms the past couple of nights have been interesting. Andy was over at my house when the tornado sirens went off. Tonight could be another round. Well, another week comes. Just think everybody, 5 weeks until fnals(not fun) but after that; no school! Today, I recalled that we have the Spanish play this week. I hope everyone has a good week. What happened in Detroit?

What's up everybody. My trip to Detroit was amazing. I got to meet some new people in Max Walling's youth group. On the way we listened to different styles of music. It was fun. The Acquire the Fire-Battlecry was great. There were about 30-35 thousand kids there. On Friday night, thousands of people came forward. There was no doubt the Holy Spirit was moving. The worship and other concerts were awsome. The point of this whole event was definitely summed up into one word: Battle/war. The point was to get us pumped up and go and make a difference and change our generation. There is a battle going on. A war we cannot see. Of course, I am speaking of a spiritual battle. Then you have a cultural battle. Some parts in our culture need to be affected. We Christians need to be ready for the battle. The bands were great. I liked Tobymac the best. Oh yeah, J-jewel, get the Tobymac cd, it is sweet.
Then on the way back, one of Max's friends in the youth group, locked himself out of his car. So we got out of our hotel really late then we had wanted. We waited for the police to show up and he got it open. I didn't get shot or threatened like some of you thougth would happen. lol. I definitely enjoyed myself last weekend in big DE-troit. Now I am back to school and home. I hope I put what I learned into practice. Peace and God bless!

Trip to Detroit this weekend

This weekend I am going with a friend's youth group to Detroit. The Acquire the Fire is at Ford Field(the Detroit Lions home field). They are expectiong 20-30 thousand people. Their are going to be some sweet bands there. Tobymac, Cross Movement, Kj-52, Pillar, Jeremy Camp, and Delirious are most of the them. It should be pretty sweet. Their is also are some pretty known speakers. I hope you all have a great weekend. God Bless!

Devotional Blog #1

I was thinking yesterday what I could do with my blog. I had an idea, that once in a while I would talk about what I am learning in my "quiet times." Maybe someone could be encouraged. So here it is. My first Devotional blog.

I am doing a study on I and II Thessolonians. It is from a Lifeguide Bible Study book. The, I guess you could say topic, would be assurance. It covers a variety of instances. For example, assurance of our faith, assurance that God is really there when we are in trails, or am I really pleasing the Lord in my life? These are just some that can be brought up in this study I am doing. Today, I read I Thessolonians 2:17-3:13. The chapter title was called "Unmistakable Love." At this time, their is a lot of persecussion in the church. This got in the way of Paul visiting the church in Thessolonia. He really wanted to visit the church to help them and encourage them. He ended up sending Timothy because he couldn't make the trip. He really loved the Thessalonian church (see I Thess. 2:17-20, 3:2, 5, 10). As you read through the first 3 chapters you will see how great Paul's love for the Thess. church is. In verse 9 of chapter 3, the good news of the Thessolonia church, Paul said that now he could really "live." That is deep concern. The good news came from Timothy who went to check to see if the faith of the Thess. church was still strong (v.5). In chapter 1, it tells of how much your faith can be seen and how it can affect others. The point I am trying to make is that Paul had tremendous love for that church(people). My prayer for us is that of what Paul said in I Thess. 3:12-13. That says, "May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones."

If we Christians, the body of Christ, can learn to love one another with "unmistakable love", I think we could see growth in each other. I read on a web page of a gospel singer who is being pushed away from the faith. He is being pushed away by other Christians. He is a believer. He said that he is being torn to pieces by what Christians are saying agaisnt him. He said that he has seen Christians fight and bicker about things more than anyone. So these "church people" are now influencing this guy to uncontentment and uncertaintenty. He said that Christians should be showing the love of Christ. But he definitely doesn't see it.

My spring break so far

I woke up at about 6:20 a.m. this morning to go to a very special place. That place was the dentist. I got to the dentist at 7:00 a.m. for my appointment. I had to get a temporary crown on my tooth that I had a root canal done on. On top of that, I had to get my teeth cleaned for the yearly check-up. So I spent about 3hrs. in the dentist office this morning. What a great thing to do on spring break. I am not complaining, ok may be a little, but I can say something that not that many other people can say. I have a really cool dentist. Now, I am planning to do my homework and fill out some applications. I am giong to hang out at Eric's tommorrow. For all of you sport fanatics, make sure you watch the Final Four this weekend. They should be some great games. I read in an e-mail that P.O.D. is giong to be performing sometime this weekend at the Final Four.
As far as my love life. That will be a different story for a different time. That statement is for you, Andy. I hope all of you continue to have a restful and fun spring break.
